IndyTennis welcomes gay, lesbian, bi, trans, and straight folks who want to come together to play tennis. We meet EVERY Saturday [weather permitting] at 10:00 a.m. at Tarkington Park (just off of 38th Street and Meridian near North United Methodist Church). We play in a round-robin format of singles and doubles.
We also have ladders where players can monitor their progress in our group by challenging up through players on higher rungs. Every month we host socials such as picnics, parties, or barbeques to go along with one of our tennis days. We will be offering clinics every quarter, rating clinics for any players who want to be USTA rated and sanctioned, and we will also offer discounts on subscriptions to tennis periodicals. Finally, we will be offering tickets for the RCA Championship tournament hosted each year in Indianapolis. Besides all that, there is NO membership fee or dues. Players of all skill levels welcome! Women have the opportunity to play in gender-free or mixed doubles events, or to play singles and doubles among themselves. Join us for the health and the fun. |
