Bloomington Celebrates Pride Month With Mini-Film Festival

BLOOMINGTON � The Buskirk-Chumley Theater is proud to present Bloomington's premiere Gay Pride Month event, SUMMERTIME PRIDE on Saturday, June 3 at 8pm. This mini-film festival features twelve short films exploring gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered themes. Film selections were made by the all-volunteer PRIDE steering committee that coordinates the annual PRIDE festival every year in January. This mini-festival was created to offer an event to celebrate National Gay Pride month in Bloomington.

"So many people drive to Indianapolis or Chicago for Gay Pride events, Bloomington should have it's own celebration. This film festival features upbeat, short films and will give everyone a place to meet and experience cutting edge short films together," said Danielle McClelland, Buskirk-Chumley Theater Executive Director.
