LAMP Fine Arts Gallery, 719 Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana hosts "We Do TooLife, Love and Unions", a collection of 20 photographs of families headed by same-sex couples taken by artists Mark A. Lee and Daniel Evans. The exhibition opens to the public on Friday, June 9 and closes on Sunday, July 9, 2006. LAMP Fine Arts Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Friday and Saturday, 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm; and Sunday, 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

"We Do Too" celebrates the unions of same-sex couples in Indiana and shines a light on the dialogue that surrounds them. Mark A. Lee's photographs portray couples as they see themselves within the context of their long-term relationships. Daniel Evans' work presents committed couples in an objective and minimalist style that encourages viewers to bring their own perspective and questions about same-sex unions to the work. The exhibition also highlights the unique challenges these families face as a result of their legal status. None of the unions featured are legally recognized in Indiana.

"We Do Too" is inspired by "I Do: The Marriage of Fashion and Art", an Indianapolis Museum of Art exhibition that features marriage garments and accessories from around the world and from different eras. "I Do" opens at the IMA on Sunday, June 11, 2006.

Troy Smythe of Smythe ConsultingAdaptive Museum Planning and Research organized "We Do Too" with support from Wayne Zink, LAMP Fine Arts Gallery, Broadway United Methodist Church and several anonymous donors. For further information, call 317-634-8969.
