Indianapolis - The Pride of Indy Jazz Ensemble will continue its 2007 performance schedule as a featured act of the Indy Park's Summer Arts in the Park free concert series. The concert in the out-of-doors will be Thursday, August 30th at 7:00 pm at the MacAllister Center for the Performing Arts at Garfield Park in Indianapolis. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and picnic basket and to enjoy a leisurely evening of great entertainment.

The performance will feature the 20-piece Pride of Indy Jazz Ensemble and area vocalists. This ensemble is a subset of the Pride of Indy Band, established as an LGBT/ally community organization just over two years ago

"This very talented group of musicians will offer up some of the best in big band music spanning the decades," commented John Joanette, Community Liaison for the Pride of Indy Band and the Jazz Ensemble Manager. He added "the backdrop of the MacAllister Center will make for a special evening of music for all ages."

Ample free parking is available in and around the grounds of the MacAllister Center at Garfield Park.
