Hi I'm Shannon from IXE (Iota Chi Sigma). First let me tell you that IXE is a support gender group here in Indianapolis. We are interested in helping gender conflicted persons in the context of a monthly social meeting. As a group, we welcome all gender conflicted persons, their spouses or SO's. We exclude no one who consider themselves gender conflicted. This includes people TV, TS, TG, or those who don't want a label or put themselves in a box. Sorry but we are a support group only. None of us have the proper training to give you therapy if you require it. Sorry, but we're also not a dating, hotel, motel or taxi service.

If any of this really bugs you, time to bail out now

Our monthly newsletter informs the reader of local and national events as well as giving news and articles from members and other groups across the country. Our recent newsletters are available in Adobe Acrobat format. You may currently download October 1997, November 1997, December 1997, January 1998February 1998, March 1998 or  April 1998

All right, you still here?? Well here are the rules: By showing you, through our existence as a group, that there are many people like yourself who have an attraction to women's or men's clothes or the feelings of the opposite gender, you will find that you are not alone in your desires. We also have sister groups in Ohio,Illinois and Kentucky.

For the protection of our members and guests, we must respectfully decline entrance to persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Gun lovers...leave them at home please!

IXE will not give out the names and addresses of any of our members, non-members, or guests, even if they request it. This is for your protection, not ours. IXE does not discriminate on the basis of sex, gender, race, creed, age or affectional preference.

IXE values helping our members to find a healthy wholeness of being. To this end we work to provide a safe place for our members to bring their concerns and issues to share. We encourage everyone to share from their experience, offering something of themselves, rather than speaking about ideas and theories that frequently are threatening to those who do not fit those ideas. Speaking from your experience brings you together with the person you are speaking with creating a sense of belonging and community.

We strive to create a community where all feel that they belong, where everyone is a winner, and where we celebrate all gains as victories for everyone, and where supporting hands are available whenever needed.

The creation of community in our competitive culture happens when people begin to accept themselves and promote a positive self image. Our direction "toward a healthy wholeness of being" centers the attention of IXE on offering our members the opportunity to begin self acceptance in a safe nurturing environment.

IXE offers a gentle and accepting path toward exploration of gender identity issues. We value and honor human diversity. We want you to know that, regardless of where you are on the gender, sexual orientation, political, or any other spectrurn, you will find our meetings to be a place where you will feel safe and accepted

Please join us so that we can all share our journeys of exploration of the possibilities offered by various gender lifestyles. (See Glossary)
