HIV Testing Types
Confidential
For a confidential test, you will be asked for your name. If you test is positive for HIV, a report including your name will be made to the Health Department. The Health Department keeps the names confidential and does not release them to other agencies or persons. If you need your results in writing, you will need to be tested at a Confidential test site.
Anonymous
For an anonymous test, you will be given a number or fake name to receive your results. No one will know that you have been tested. You alone have the result and no written results will be given.
Once you are ready to be tested, check our listing of Gay and Lesbian-friendly HIV Testing Sites.
