To create a community which provides unconditional love, acceptance, and assisted living in a healthcare environment, dedicated to those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Our Mission Statement
Community of Love will provide a safe environment for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Unconditional love and acceptance will be demonstrated by our highly trained health care providers and staff, which would put strong emphasis on education, training, counseling, referrals, and any spiritual support needed to sustain our residents' quality of life. The Community of Love also makes a pledge of dedication to the families that are affected by HIV/AIDS. We will offer support groups, education, referrals, and any spiritual support to those families that enter into our Community of Love.
In March of 2001 Indiana's only HIV/AIDS nursing home (Parkview) abruptly closed after ten years of operation. The need for an HIV/AIDS facility has not diminished. Community Of Love was established in response to that need.
On June 22rd, 2001 The Community of Love became a 501(c)3 not for profit entiy.
