Indianapolis, January 12, 2005-- To kick off the ticket sales for HAIRSPRAY, the Toyota Broadway in Indianapolis and Indy Pride, Inc. have teamed up to host a fund raising event for Indianapolis Youth Group (IYG).

To keep in the spirit of the musical, the event will feature a wig contest. The wigs will be worn by local female illusionists during the kick-off party, which will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Talbott Street. The wigs will be judged by the attendees by their donations. The higher the hair the better the chances of winning!

Indianapolis area salons and stylists will be participating by entering a wig in the contest. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. Cover charge is $5.00. The salon or stylist with the winning entry will be given two (2) of the best seats in the house for Hairspray. Come out and see the wigs, buy your tickets for Hairspray and donate money to IYG!
