HRC Sponsors Bowling Event March 20

Whether you are a diehard bowler or have never bowled in your life, it's time to try duckpin bowling. The Human Rights Campaign has just the opportunity for you.

On Saturday, March 20 from 7-10 p.m., a bowling night is being held at the Fountain Square Theatre Building to benefit HRC. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Out Word Bound Books (625 N. East Street). The purchase price for this event includes your shoe rental and a light buffet. A cash bar is also available.

The bowling alley is located on the fourth floor of the Fountain Square Theatre Building in the Action Duckpin Bowl, 1105 Prospect. The venue has been restored to its brilliance of 1928, when it opened as a bowling alley and billiard hall. The venue offers a great view of downtown, and duckpin bowling is a fun way to socialize with old and new friends while attempting to knock down small pins with a softball-size bowling ball.

To get to the Fountain Square Theatre Building from downtown Indianapolis: Go South on Pennsylvania Street, Meridian Street or Capitol Avenue to South Street. Turn left and proceed east until you reach the 3-way intersection of East Street, South Street and Virginia Avenue. Angle right onto Virginia Avenue and go 4 stoplights straight ahead. For directions and maps from other areas, log on to the Fountain Square Theatre Building's web site at: www.fountainsquareindy.com.

The Human Rights Campaign is the largest national lesbian and gay political organization with members throughout the country. It effectively lobbies Congress, provides campaign support and educates the public to ensure that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
