Marriage Amendment Scheduled for Hearing on February 8th

The proposal to amend Indiana's constitution to ban same-sex marriages, Senate Joint Resolution 7 (Definition of Marriage), is scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Committee on Corrections, Criminal, and Civil Matters on Tuesday, February 8th.

The hearing will be held by the Senate Committee on Corrections, Criminal, and Civil Matters Tuesday, at 9:00 am in the Senate Chamber in the State House (200 W. Washington Street Indianapolis)

The public will be permitted to testify. Our understanding is that each "side" will be provided one hour for testimony, starting with those who support passage of the amendment

The community is encouraged to attend the hearing if your schedule permits, showing your belief that a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage is wrong for Indiana.
