Caritas Ministries is a faith-based non-profit organization that provides HIVAIDS education, prevention, and intervention services to the community of Indianapolis, Indiana as well as churches, mosaics, synagogues and other places of worship. Since 2002, Caritas Ministries has offered outreach services to individuals in our community who are out-of-treatment substance abusers and individuals infected with HIV/AIDS. In addition, we provide transitional living quarters that assist males who are in recovery from substance or alcohol abuse, infected with HIV/AIDS or ex-offenders. Our mission is simple, to help decrease the number of HIV infections in our community, increase HIV education and provide intermediary housing to individuals that champions the quality of life. However, due to the number of increased infections in our community we wish to expand our comprehensive outreach program to promote risk avoidance strategies and behaviors for prevention of HIV/AIDS infection but lack the resources to meet the needs in our area. Should you need our assistance or request further information, please contact us at the number listed above. |

Our Vision
To create a community which provides unconditional love, acceptance, and assisted living in a healthcare environment, dedicated to those affected by HIV/AIDS. Our Mission Statement
Community of Love will provide a safe environment for persons living with HIV/AIDS. Unconditional love and acceptance will be demonstrated by our highly trained health care providers and staff, which would put strong emphasis on education, training, counseling, referrals, and any spiritual support needed to sustain our residents' quality of life. The Community of Love also makes a pledge of dedication to the families that are affected by HIV/AIDS. We will offer support groups, education, referrals, and any spiritual support to those families that enter into our Community of Love.
In March of 2001 Indiana's only HIV/AIDS nursing home (Parkview) abruptly closed after ten years of operation. The need for an HIV/AIDS facility has not diminished. Community Of Love was established in response to that need. On June 22rd, 2001 The Community of Love became a 501(c)3 not for profit entity.
